A Dreamy House

To experience the best of Cornish life, live in a traditional cob farmhouse for a week or more! Set in peaceful subtropical gardens surrounding the entire house, this home will be a tonic for your soul.

We welcome well-behaved dogs and have a downstairs bedroom and bathroom for less able folk.

Reviews:

Great and characterful old farmhouse stay in the Lizard peninsula. Lovely place to stay with lots of bedrooms and lovely kitchen area with aga. The gardens are lovely too with free range chickens around the place and a lovely cocker spaniel dog roaming around (which our kids loved). Fleur was also very accommodating to our needs around checking in and out with our 3 young children. Great place to stay!

What a magical place! The location is perfectly situated to enjoy all the adventure and majesty Cornwall has to offer! While the house is a special treat unto itself - fresh eggs for breakfast, a little foraging if you fancy, walks on your doorstep, fires to warm up by, comfy beds for a restful night sleep.

The home has been lovingly maintained and thoughtfully updated - so you get all the intrigue of 500 year old farm house along with a great kitchen and wonderful bathrooms - and the fluffiest towels!!! And the host is one of the very best we have had. Fleur is delightful, flexible, a wealth of knowledge, and just a fantastic human to get to know. We cannot wait to go back!!

A hidden gem in such a beautiful part of Cornwall. Expect a well equipped stunning home in a tranquil setting. Fleur’s place is ideal for families as it has such a lot of indoor and outdoor space. Porthallow beach is only a short walk down hill and is ideal for swimming, rock pooling, or just watching the fishermen tend to their boats.  Fleur is a great host and we look forward to visiting again.

Downstairs King/Twin

The Old Kitchen is beautifully redesigned to make for a light, fresh and welcoming large bedroom. The downstairs loo and shower room are next to this glorious room.

Upstairs Super King

A ridiculously large sleigh bed awaits the best nights sleep ever listening to the owls in the field and waking to the chattering of little birds in the garden

Upstairs King

The oldest room in the house with panelled ceilings, gorgeous wobbly walls and glorious morning light. ..and the comfiest bed!

Upstairs Double (Roz's)

Only named Roz's since our first Christmas when Roz stayed in that room...some things just stick! This is my favourite room for sleeping- don't know why but I just sleep so well in this snug blessed with first light and chattering birds in the front garden

Upstairs Double (R's)

The Sleepy room, beautiful evening light and super dark in the morning- if you need to lie in, this is the one! Overlooking the back garden and the hen hotel, this room is full of character with its old wobbly and stone walls.

Traditional double room

Lovely room with traditional Cornish Sliding window overlooking the courtyard and rear gardens

Family Bathroom

A beautiful space adorned with wonderful tropical plants, a large shower overlooking the garden (don't worry, no one can see in!) and a double-ended large bath for luxurious relaxation time.

Dining Room and Kitchen

Spanning 11m x 5m this huge space is where I generally live! A beautiful 14 seat dining table made from parts of The Matthew Ship in Bristol topped with giant single oak planks makes dining here a real treat.

As for cooking, enjoy the awesome Aga as well as a conventional fan oven/grill and additional conventional hob. The kitchen is super-well equipped with all the utensils, machinery, le creuset pans and much more.
